The Minnesota Veterans Research Institute (MVRI) will provide to the scientific investigator at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center all accounting services required for obtaining and financially managing a research endeavor supported by funds other than VA appropriated funds. The purpose of the corporation is to provide a flexible funding mechanism for the conduct of approved research at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Services will include processing of grants and contracts, managing accounts, contracting employees, and providing a final financial report to the funding agency. At the present time, Minneapolis VA investigators, who are members of MVRI, are engaged in research in the following subspecialties:
